Milestones of Success for ADMATEL

The year 2016 marked another milestone for ADMATEL contributing up to 99% increase in revenue as well as providing solutions to a plethora of customer needs. This remarkable growth was spurred by a two-fold approach; 1) reduction of turnaround time to 24hours, and 2) capture of a broader market reach covering not only the electronics companies but also Automotive, Construction, Foods, Plastics, Paints & Coating, Metal Fabrication, Petrochemical, Batteries, Industrial Gasses and Telecommunications.

24-hours turnaround time

Reducing the turnaround time to 24 hours was the main strife of ADMATEL in 2016, because it entails a new realization and a paradigm shift for the whole team. A mindset of “sense of urgency” has to be imbibed to ensure immediate response to urgent customer requirements. This has been realized through the following initiatives:

  • Positioning of full time employees
  • Equipping the technical staff with basic and advanced trainings on both the principles and hands on operation of key instruments such as Focused Ion Beam-Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope (FIB-FESEM), Auger Electron Spectroscope (AES), Time-of-Flight Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometer (ToF-SIMS), and Thermo-Mechanical Analyzer (TMA)
  • Streamlining of processes and procedures

Capturing a broader market reach

In relation to market share, ADMATEL is expanding its clientele portfolio to other industries by assembling a highly driven multidisciplinary team to better understand and provide solutions to a wider variety of Failure Analysis problems, new product development, and validation of designs and technologies. This is done in conjunction with the following approaches:

  • Actively participating in various Electronics convention and Academic conferences  
  • Plant visits and face to face interaction with key personnel from Semiconductor and Electronics companies
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction by adhering to the principles and practices of ISO 17025 and
  • Close coordination with clients.

Future Plans

2017 will be a challenging year for ADMATEL with its sustainability program as the major focus. The sustainability program will be anchored on 3 key elements which we call 3P’s ;  People competency, Process  improvements and  business Performance. It’s not going to be easy but with a team of enabled and competent people, ADMATEL will reach greater heights.    

ADMATEL joins the IMEP 2016 Conference

The Advanced Device & Materials testing Laboratory (ADMATEL) will be participating in the upcoming Institute of Materials Engineers of the Philippines (IMEP) Conference to be held at Microtel by Wyndham UP Techno hub, Diliman Quezon City on October 27-28, 2016. ADMATEL will have a booth to showcase its affordable services which can help local enterprises, especially semiconductor companies with their failure analysis needs.

IMEP 2016 Conference considered the first of its kind in the Philippines aims to support, promote and actively engage in education, practice and dissemination of technical information in the field of Materials Engineering. This year’s conference theme is “Engineering Materials for Sustainability” and will feature special talks from invited keynote and plenary speakers as well as oral poster presentation of technical papers in the field of Materials Science and Engineering.

 

ADMATEL  Opens its Advanced Testing Labs  at the Juan Science, One Nation NSTW 2016

 

The Advanced Device and Materials Testing Laboratory (ADMATEL), DOST’s newest advanced testing laboratory opened its facilities to Guests and Visitors from various industry sector, government agencies,  students (college and senior high school), MSMEs, LGUs, and individuals  yesterday as Day 1  of the weeklong  NSTW 2016 at Bicutan Science Community, Bicutan, Taguig  City.   NSTW visitors and participants will have the opportunity to enter   into its  world class 100K Cleanroom Laboratories  showcasing the latest and advanced analytical testing equipment such as the Auger Electron Spectroscopy (AES), Focus Ion Beam Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope (FIB-FSEM), Time of Flight Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometer (TOF-SIMS), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), Simultaneous Thermal Analyzer,  Differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC), Low and High Power Optical Microscopes. Aside from a laboratory tour,  visitors and students will also have the opportunity to know the latest 3D Print Technologies- MakerBot, ZMorph, Airwolf3D  and CoLiDo  introduced  by Arrowfil Technologies, Inc. and Wifi enabled Carl Zeiss Optical Microscopes with built-in camera ( materials science and biological ) by Macare.   

 

ADMATEL renders quality  testing services to our local semiconductor and electronics industry and other industries  that  meet    complex challenges  on   failure analysis,  inspection, identification of  micro and nano level contamination  and  characterization of various materials such as semiconductor devices and products, thin films, plastics, coatings, composites, corrosion and products of oxidation, chemical compounds, etc.

PSECE CONVENTION
 
"The Philippine Semiconductor and Electronics Convention and Exhibition (PSECE) is the biggest annual convention and exhibition of the leading technology companies in the Philippines.

The exhibition component aims to feature the complete range of the electronics industry, from chips to finish products, from suppliers/service providers to manufacturers to retailers and distributors. CALL FOR ADMATEL and EPDC Research Grants Program 2015

 

In support of local research in the industry, energy, and emerging technology sectors, the Philippine Council for Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research and Development (PCIEERD) of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) is now accepting proposals for the PCIEERD-ADMATEL/EPDC Research Grants 2015 program that will provide funding support to graduate students and faculty members who will conduct research projects directed towards developing emerging technologies and exploring innovations in the following areas but not limited to: materials research, electronics, and applied physics.

 

The Research Grant will serve as an outright research subsidy of up to P250,000 which will finance expenses for testing and analysis fees specifically in using any of the equipment in the Advanced Device and Materials Testing Laboratory (ADMATEL) and/or the Electronics Product Development Center (EPDC). Facilities and services offered by both centers can be seen in the websites: www.admatel.com and www.epdc.dost.gov.ph

 

Interested researchers must submit the following requirements to PCIEERD on or before October 30, 2015:

  • Letter of Intent endorsed by the thesis / dissertation / research adviser and Department Chair
  • Thesis / dissertation / research proposal (preferably approved), including the research plan and schedule of research activities (Gantt chart) leading to the completion of the study
  • Line-Item Budget indicating which equipment will utilized

All submissions will be evaluated based on relevance and technical merit. Priority will be given to those in research areas that have a higher chance of publication in international journals.
